Dentures

We offer two types of dentures.

Complete Upper or Lower Denture - The first type is a full or complete denture. A person is able to get this type of denture when all of their teeth are gone. The first step will be to take impressions. From this mold, the lab will create a denture base.  A wax rim is mounted in the base and the patient must come back to the office to try the wax rim to make sure it is a fit. An exact wax replica of the denture is then created and the patient must try it on in order for any changes to be made. It is then sent back to the lab to create the final version of the denture. When the denture is ready the patient will try it on and any necessary adjustments will be made.

Immediate Upper or Lower Dentures - Immediate dentures are a second type of denture that could be made. The process to make an immediate denture is very similar to that of a full denture. The main difference between a complete denture and an immediate is that with the immediate denture extractions must be made and the denture is created before all of the teeth are removed.
